Server HK4 Emergency Migration

December 19th, 2023 shadmin

Due to our datacenter terminating the server HK4 in error, we will need to re-create all accounts on that server on a new one. Unfortunately the termination happened during our overnight backup window, effectively corrupting all our backups. While we may be able retrieve some data from historical backups, clients should be prepared to restore their own websites and re-create their email accounts on the new server.

All affected users will be receiving their new access details in thext 24-48 hours. If you do not, please open a ticket to the Support department. If you have your own full cpmove backup available, please contact us so that we can work on restoring the account to the new server.

We apologize for this issue which has caused services to be offline over the last few days and would like to stress the importance of downloading your own backups from cPanel regularly as per our terms of services.

Server migration

January 8th, 2018 shadmin

Due to an ongoing government investigation affecting one of our datacenters, servers in that datacenter are now offline. We do not have an ETA on when the issue will be solved and servers accessible again. For clients affected, we offer the option to set up a new server at a different datacenter. It will take a couple of days for the new server to be brought online and we will be giving a RMB300 credit to all affected clients.

We apologize for this issue which unfortunately is beyond our control.

Migration of server aberdeen to new upgraded machine

November 11th, 2013 shadmin

In order to improve the hosting experience of our customers, all hosting accounts on the server have been migrated to a new machine. The new server is a huge upgrade of the existing server which was getting slow recently. It boosts 1TB of data storage space, 16GB RAM, a dual E3 CPU and a better backup system. Clients on this server should notice an improvement in the loading speed of their websites immediately.

There is no change to the hostname ( nor nameservers (ns13/ns14) so most clients should not face any downtime and should be loading on the new server by now. Clients not using our nameservers will need to point their records to the new IP. Such clients are required to open a support ticket with us to obtain the IP information.

The old server will remain up until we manually verify that all sites are loading correctly from the new server.
