Due to a hardware failure at our server central.sinohosting.net in Hong Kong over last week end, followed by unsuccessful attempts for system recovery, a replacement server has been set up and all hosted clients on the central server migrated to that new server (with new IP address). If you using our DNS and were previously hosted on the central server, you do not need to do anything as our DNS were updated to the new IPs and your website should load automatically from the new location.
If you use your own DNS, please contact our support team to obtain the new server IP to manually point to that address.
We apologize for any downtime or inconvenience experienced over the last few days. Any affected client is requested to open a support ticket with our billing department to request a RMB100 downtime credit which will be automatically deducted from any future purchase or renewal invoice.

SinoHosting is pround to announce that starting April 1st, 2017, its cPanel shared hosting plans are upgraded with immediate effect. The change applies to all shared hosting plans (Linux), both for China and Hong Kong/International.
More specifically, the Basic and Basic China plans are now increased to 2GB disk space and 10GB monthly bandwidth. The Business and Business China plan are now increased to 10GB disk space and 100GB monthly bandwidth. The Corporate and Corporate China plans are increased to 50GB disk space and 500GB monthly bandwidth.
Another change is that the Business plan (Hong Kong & International locations) now can host three websites instead of one previously.
By doubling the allocated disk space on all plans, SinoHosting is striving to provide the most competitive and cost effective hosting packages in the industry in China.
There is no price increase with the increased disk and bandwidth allocations. The Basic plan however will not include from this date a free domain registration, which will remain available for the Business and Corporate plans.

SinoHosting offers the possibility for its clients to move their account to a location at a different location. This is usually needed due to change of target users location, or in order to improve access to current users. Clients who find that their users do not have an optimal access to their website can request to change to a different location.
This service is available four our standard shared hosting plans (international); you can move your website from/to Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, the USA (California or Texas), the United Kingdom or the Netherlands. You can also move from an international location to a China server (after you have obtained the ICP license), or from China to an international location.
SinoHosting does not charge for this service. As long as you keep the same package, the migration is free and is usually complete within 24 hours. As our servers configuration are mostly the same across all locations (cPanel), there is no expected problem that the migration could cause. If your site requires however a special version of PHP, Mysql or any other requirement, please inform us in advance in order to select the most appropriate server at the new location, or activate the required feature at the new server.
For clients with their domain names registered through SinoHosting, there is nothing they need to do at their end, everything is handled by SinoHosting technicians. If your domain is registered elsewhere or you manage your DNS through a third party, you will need to update your nameservers to the new values, which we will provide, after the migration is complete.

While being based in China and serving mostly an audience within the greater China region, it is easy to forget that SinoHosting is a true international web hosting company with multiple overseas locations. We will introduce here our hosting locations overseas with a focus on shared hosting only.
1) Hong Kong
While being technically part of China, Hong Kong is not within the great firewall of China and as such we classify it within our international web hosting locations. Hong Kong is by far our most popular location, due to the combination of closer distance from China (and thus faster loading time), and the non-requirement of an ICP license (as compared to mainland China hosting). Over 60% of our shared hosting clients are hosted on our Hong Kong servers. Hong Kong is particularly recommended for clients targeting users in the southern part of China (including Shenzhen, Guangzhou and the rest of Guangdong province)
2) Taiwan
Despite being close of mainland China, Taiwan does not seem to be a very popular location, as less than 5% of our clients use it. It is however a very strong alternative to Hong Kong, boosting faster speed in some cases from eastern China (Fujian province, Zhejiang, Shanghai etc.).
3) South Korea
South Korea is one of our newest locations. It is considered the best locations for companies without a China presence which are targeting customers physically located in Beijing and Northern China. South Korea also benefits from a very fast local bandwidth, one of the fastest in the world, as well as a very stable international bandwidth.
4) Singapore
Singapore is our second most popular international location. It is the internet hub of the South East Asian region. We maintain our Singapore servers with Softlayer which is a first-tier datacenter provider worldwide. Singapore hosting also has decent connection speeds to mainland China.
5) United States
The US is our most popular non-Asian location. It is primarily used by our Chinese clients with websites targeting overseas clients, including international trading companies, manufacturers, global service providers etc. We have three server locations in the US: Los Angeles (California), Dallas (Texas) and Miami (Florida). Therefore, whether you are looking for west coast, central or east coast hosting in the US, you are covered with SinoHosting.
6) Europe
SinoHosting offers two hosting locations in Europe, namely in London (United Kingdom) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands). It is a very niche hosting selected by a limited number of clients. Access speed from mainland China is the slowest among all our international locations, therefore it is not recommended if this is for a website targeting the Chiense audience.

As part of the upgrade of our infrastructure, and due to ongoing IP blacklisting issues at hknwt IP addresses, all accounts on that server have been migrated to the new server stanley.sinohosting.net, which is also located in Hong Kong; clients using our nameservers ns11.sinohosting.net / ns12.sinohosting.net do not need to do any change, their site should be automatically running from the new server by now. For clients using external domain nameservers, they will need to update manually their site to point to the new IP address: 210.56.51.181.
For FTP access the IP address changes to 210.56.51.181. To access your control panel you can continue to use www.yourdomain.com/cpanel , all existing usernames and passwords should remain the same.
The old server hknwt.sinohosting.net will stay up for a week the time we ensure all sites are running properly from the new location. Should you have any issue with your site after the migration, please make sure to contact our support department for assistance.

Please note that the main IP address for server tiger.sinohosting.net is now changed to the following: 121.127.250.204 ;
If you are using our domain name servers then there should be no change required from your end. You will simply need to update your FTP settings to the new value. If you are using an external DNS however you will need to update your records there.
For clients having their own dedicated IP address on this server there should be no change whatsoever unless further instructions.

Due to the national days holidays here in China our office will be closed from October 1st to 8th. Phone support will be unavailable during that time. We will however continue to provide basic support through email and support tickets. New orders will be processed as usual, however for dedicated servers we won’t be able to get them up as local datacenters will not be operating during that period.

We are proud to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website www.sinohosting.net ; it is an improvement from the previous design, and has been conceived with usability in mind, to ensure easy navigation by users and visitors.
Major changes includes:
-Updates to our VPS and China hosting plans. China plans now include free domain name and ICP license registration. Number of plans have been reduced from 5 to 3 and match in terms of disk space our international plans. Old clients are not affected though they can continue on their current plans and renew at same prices.
-Introduction of dedicated server plans. We used to offer dedicated server on a custom order basis only, but now we have four different server solutions available for clients to choose.
–China server colocation and hosted exchange email solutions have also been added to our offerings.
-We have revamped our online support system, clients and prospects will now be able to open support tickets directly from our website which will yield faster response times than our support email.
We have also added new domain extensions (.eu, .me etc.), web design services, etc. More will be announced in the next few days, including our affiliate program, the first of its kind among web hosts in China, and for which you can already sign up.
